Learning with Nature
I teach drawing and visual practice as ways of thinking. My courses and workshops emphasize observation, material engagement, and iterative making as methods for understanding complex ideas, particularly at the intersection of art, science, and environmental education.
Art and Science Focus
Drawing on my background in scientific illustration, I invite students to consider how images communicate knowledge across disciplines. Projects balance accuracy, interpretation, and visual clarity, without requiring prior scientific training.
Working with Students
I approach critique as a collaborative conversation. Students are encouraged to articulate their intentions, reflect on their process, and make informed decisions about their work while maintaining ownership over outcomes.
